On November 18, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy, participated in the first forum of Azerbaijani-US think tanks organized by the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).

The first forum of Azerbaijan-US Think Tanks, dedicated to the theme "Shared Visions: Azerbaijan-US Dialogue for Strategic Partnership", was attended by government representatives, local think tanks, as well as representatives from US think tanks such as the Atlantic Council, New Lines Institute, Hudson Institute, Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, and The National Interest magazine.

In his opening speech, AIR Center Chairman Farid Shafiyev reported on a number of positive outcomes of the August 8 Washington Summit. Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Founder and Rector of ADA University, said that cooperation with major US think tanks will play an important role in improving diplomatic practice in Azerbaijan and strengthening bilateral relations between Baku and Washington.

The forum continued its work with sessions dedicated to the topics of “Assessment of the Washington Summit: Impact on US-Azerbaijani Relations”, “Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Process after the Washington Summit”, and “Energy Security and Connectivity”.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani universities represented at the forum were ADA, Baku State University, and Khazar University.
