

The International Yesenin Award for Literature – "O Rus’, vzmakhní krylàmi" was established in 2005 by the Union of Writers of Russia (All-Russian Public Organization Union of Writers of Russia) and the National Fund for the Development of Culture (National'nyy fond razvitiya kul'tury). The main partner is the A. M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Institut mirovoy literatury im. A. M. Gor'kogo RAN) and the journal "Osiyannaya Rus."
The Chairman of the Award's Executive Committee is Gennadiy Ivanov, First Secretary of the Union of Writers of Russia and poet. The Co-Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Jury is Dmitriy Darin, a member of the Supreme Creative Council of the Moscow City Organization of the Union of Writers of Russia and a renowned poet. The award committee includes many prominent figures in Russian literature and culture.
Isakhan Isakhanli became the winner of this award in 2025 in the translation category. It should be noted that Isakhan Isakhanli was also awarded the same prize in 2015 in the literary criticism category ("Vzyskuyushchim vzglyadom").
The award was presented to the winners on October 24, 2025, at the Yesenin Museum in Moscow. Unfortunately, Isakhan Isakhanli was unable to attend the award ceremony due to health reasons.
