Aytac Misgarli, Director of the Library-Information Center (LIC) at Khazar University, participated in the "ANKOSLink – 2025" International Conference held on November 4-6, 2025, at the Presidential National Library of Türkiye in Ankara.
The opening ceremony of the conference began with speeches by Ayhan Tuğlu, Head of Department at the Presidential National Library of Turkey, Ismail Çeyinkaya, President of ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium), and Erol Özvar, Minister of Education of Türkiye.
This year dedicated to the theme "Library 5.0 and Human-Centered Digital Transformation," "ANKOSLink - 2025" brought together experts from more than 30 countries as one of the most prestigious platforms in Turkey and the region for publishing, open science, and library information services.
During the three-day conference, panel discussions and presentations were held on the following topics: "Library 5.0 model and human-oriented digital services," "Long-term preservation of digital content and sustainable accessibility," "Artificial intelligence and ethics," "Artificial intelligence-based tools in academic research," and "Impact of artificial intelligence technologies on library activities."
Within the framework of the event, meetings were held with representatives of Wiley, IEEE Xplore, SOBIAD, JoVE, Sage, Muteferriqa, Elsevier, EBSCO, and other international publishing and database companies, and cooperation prospects and new platforms were discussed.
The official closing ceremony of the conference was held with the participation of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Khazar University, along with the Head of Department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, as well as the heads of libraries of Baku State University, National Aviation Academy, UNEC, Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan Publishing House, and Baku Choreography Academy.
