On November 1, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, gave an interview to “TRT Russian”. He discussed how education can play a fundamental role in bringing the Turkic nations together.

During the interview, Assoc. Prof. Valiyev noted that the process of formation of the Turkic world is divided into 3 stages: the first stage began with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the next stage with the signing of the Nakhchivan Treaty, and the last stage with COVID-19 and the Second Karabakh War. In this context, he emphasized that universities should play a strategic role in the modern stage by promoting cultural activism and shaping a common mindset.
