On November 11, 2025, a round table dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” and an award ceremony for the winners of the competition announced on this topic were held at the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center). Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, and doctoral candidate Rahil Dadashli attended the event.
Assoc. Prof. Valiyev touched upon the content of the concept of sovereignty in the modern era. He noted that the concept of national sovereignty is no longer limited to physical borders, but is also reflected in the fields of artificial intelligence and technology. Stressing the importance of regional cooperation, he drew attention to the views expressed by President Ilham Aliyev at his inauguration ceremony regarding the importance of the Organization of Turkic States for our country, as well as the strategic importance of Azerbaijan's active participation in other regional platforms.
As part of the event, the winners of the article competition dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" organized by the AIR Center in August of this year were awarded. Doctoral student Rahil Dadashli was awarded third place and made a presentation on the topic "Evolution of geopolitical dynamics in the South Caucasus after the Second Karabakh War: Reorientation of the foreign policies of Armenia and Azerbaijan."
