Second Project of Multidisciplinary Spatial Planning

The opening of the second project of multidisciplinary spatial planning on "Sustainable City Project" took place on October 27, 2025, in the Laleli Hall of Khazar University's "Dunya" School, with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and organized by the Department of Architecture and Design at Khazar University.

It should be noted that the first project was held at Khazar University's Marble Hall from May 30, 2025, to June 3, 2025.

The main objective of the training is the sustainable development of cities, the study of modern planning methods, and the enhancement of students' practical knowledge and skills.

The project involves students from the Architecture and Design program of Khazar University's Department of Architecture and Design, SABAH groups from Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University (AzACU), Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara University, Istanbul University, and students from other prestigious higher education institutions in Türkiye.

The event began with a performance by Khazar University's dance ensemble and ashiq teacher Ramin Garayev.

Subsequently, Dr. Nejla Kılınç, founder of Türkiye’s Ufuk Planning Company and Kent Orman Yaşam Atelyesi, Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Rector of Khazar University, Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Head of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups, and Associate Professor Shahla Abbasova, Director of Khazar University's Department of Architecture and Design, delivered speeches.

Dr. Nejla Kılınç divided the participating students into 5 teams, assigned their tasks, and together with the students, familiarized themselves with the site in Buzovna settlement allocated for the project.

In order to increase the project's productivity, presentations by trainers and specialists were continued on a regular basis.

Dr. Nejla Kılınç, Prof. Dr. Halim Perçin, architect Kübra Ergül, as well as Ilaha Tahmazli, Sevinj Hasanova, and Fatma Atashkaya, faculty members of Khazar University's Department of Architecture and Design, delivered speeches.

Such international and multidisciplinary projects provide students with the opportunity to gain a broader perspective and experience in the field of urban planning and sustainable development.

The opening of the project was recorded and broadcast by TRT Avaz TV.
