Gunel Allahverdiyeva, a fourth-year student majoring in Chemistry and Biology Teaching at Khazar University, participated in the International Bioinformatics Summer School organized by the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, from September 1-5, 2025.
The 75-hour program brought together students and young researchers from various countries interested in bioinformatics, data science, and life sciences. Within the framework of the program, participants attended both lectures and practical sessions, acquiring knowledge and skills in data analysis through Linux and R programs, molecular modeling, and working with biological databases.
This experience has been highly significant for Gunel Allahverdiyeva in terms of developing collaboration skills in an international environment and learning from leading experts in the field. She also became acquainted with the rich culture and nature of the city of Ljubljana, visiting the National Museum of Slovenia and gaining cultural experiences beyond the program.
Participation in this summer school has been an important milestone in Gunel Allahverdiyeva's academic development, and we wish our student success in her future professional activities.
