On October 21, 2025, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Azerbaijan Kirsti Narinen was a guest at Khazar University. The Ambassador delivered a speech on "Finland's Water Diplomacy" in the university's Marble Hall.

The event was held with the participation of the university's rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, faculty deans, academic staff and students. Rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva welcomed the Ambassador and discussed opportunities for educational and scientific cooperation between Finland and Azerbaijan.

Subsequently, Ambassador Kirsti Narinen provided extensive information about Finland's water resources management, the importance of water diplomacy at regional and international levels, as well as Finland's experience in this field. She emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges such as climate change and equitable distribution of natural resources.

At the conclusion of the event, participants addressed various questions to the Ambassador, and a mutual exchange of views took place.
