On October 17, 2025, seminars were held at Khazar University organized by the Department of History and Archaeology on the occasion of October 18 – Azerbaijan's State Independence Day. The purpose of the seminars was to provide students with more comprehensive information about Azerbaijan's independence history.

The seminars were organized by department faculty members Dr. Rukhsara Guliyeva, Dr. Yagub Mammadov, and Dr. Odar Alizade. They discussed the main stages of Azerbaijan's independence history, the historical significance of the restoration of state independence in 1991, and the process of independent state-building in the modern period.

The event emphasized the importance of strengthening young people's sense of national identity and patriotism, students' questions were answered, and an engaging exchange of views was conducted.
