62 foreign citizens have earned the right to study at Azerbaijani higher education institutions under the "Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs" (IGS) framework for the 2025-2026 academic year. This information was provided by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education.

It was reported that 23 of them are citizens of the People's Republic of China, 11 are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 are citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, 4 are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, and 20 are citizens of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Under the program framework, foreign students will receive education at Azerbaijan's state higher education institutions and only one private university - Khazar University.

The curricula will cover humanities and social sciences, economics and management, natural sciences, and other fields.
