On October 8, 2025, a solo exhibition by Leyla Musayeva, mother of the university's martyr Atamali Musaoglu, was displayed in the Marble Hall of Khazar University. The exhibition was not merely an art display, but also the life story of a mother's heart, a heroic son, and a family.
Atamali Musaoglu was admitted to Khazar University's master's program in clinical psychology in 2019. He was a student dedicated to science. When Azerbaijan's Patriotic War began on September 27, 2020, although Atamali was a second-year master's student, he volunteered for the front without hesitation. Atamali Musaoglu served as chief reconnaissance officer in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and was heroically martyred on October 16, 2020, in fierce battles for the liberation of Aghdara. Atamali's name lives on in Khazar University's memory as a symbol of bravery, courage, and love of homeland.
Although Leyla Musayeva carries the loss of her son in her heart, she has managed to turn art and creativity into her life's support. She transforms driftwood collected from seashores – wood pieces shaped by water and wind over the years – into works of art. In these works, one can feel both the beauty of nature and the strength, patience, and hope in a mother's heart.
At the event, speeches were delivered by Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Rector of Khazar University, Leyla Musayeva, the exhibition's author, and Zaur Valiyev, Deputy Director of the Social-Economic College under UNEC.
At the conclusion, Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Rector of Khazar University, presented bouquets and gifts to the martyr's mother and family members.
