The next meeting of Khazar University's Scientific Council was held on October 7, 2025.
The meeting was chaired by the university's rector, Dr. Raziya Isayeva, who brought the agenda items to the attention of the Council members. First, the chair provided information about the new composition of the Scientific Council. She noted that a total of 41 members of the Scientific Council have been approved, including 5 specialists working in the industrial sector.
The first item on the meeting agenda was the presentation of information about graduates. Fakhrandah Afandiyeva, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering; Khanim Omaroglu, Acting Dean of the School of Economics and Management; Sevinj Allahverdiyeva, Deputy Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; Chichak Aliyeva, Acting Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine; and Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the Graduate School of Education in Economics and Business, presented the students' academic indicators, professional specializations, and relevant statistical information. The list of graduates presented was approved by the Scientific Council members.
The second agenda item concerned the transfer of doctoral students admitted to the PhD program from full-time to part-time study. Gunel Bahaddinova, Secretary of the Scientific Council, reported that 12 local doctoral students were admitted to Khazar University in the current academic year. Of these, 2 are studying part-time and 10 are studying full-time. Five of the full-time doctoral students have submitted official applications requesting that their study format be changed from full-time to part-time. The applications were positively evaluated by the Scientific Council members and an appropriate decision was adopted.
The third agenda item, the Scientific Council's annual activity plan, was discussed. Chair Dr. Raziya Isayeva provided information about the issues included in the activity plan and brought them to the attention of the Council members. The plan was approved, taking into account the proposals put forward by the members.
At the end of the meeting, current issues were discussed and the meeting concluded.
