On September 26, 2025, a memorial event was held in honor of the heroes who reached the pinnacle of martyrdom in the 44-day Patriotic War, organized by the Department of History and Archaeology. University administration, faculty members, and students participated in the event.
The memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland was honored with a minute of silence. Subsequently, Associate Professor Telman Nusratoglu, Director of the Department of History and Archaeology, Director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbayli, and department lecturer Dr. Odar Alizade, along with students, delivered speeches discussing the historical significance of Memorial Day and how the martyrs will live eternally in the memory of the Azerbaijani people. Information was provided about the lives and student years of Atamali Musaoglu and Javid Hasanov, who were students at Khazar University and heroically reached the pinnacle of martyrdom in the battles. Their example of patriotism was presented as a model for young people.
