The visit of Khazar University delegation to Bukhara became a landmark event in terms of anniversary celebration, international conference, and future collaborations.
The first part of the visit was a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Bukhara State University. Speaking at the anniversary event, Khazar University founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, university rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, and Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Dr. Milana Abbasova specifically noted the important historical role of Bukhara State University in the development of science, culture and education in the region.
Following the anniversary event, the delegation participated in an international scientific conference on "Jadids: National Identity, Legal Culture and Statehood Ideas." H. Isakhanli delivered a presentation titled "Education, Enlightenment and National Identity." The presentation demonstrated the continued relevance of enlightenment ideas in the modern era and sparked extensive discussions among participants. The university rector and school dean also spoke, addressing the development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the field of education.
Within the framework of the conference, an extensive meeting was also held with the participation of heads and representatives of all faculties of Bukhara State University. During the meeting, a detailed presentation about Khazar University was conducted – information was provided about the university's structure, educational programs, international projects and strategic directions. Mutual exchange of views was conducted, and cooperation opportunities in the fields of education, research and student-faculty exchange were discussed.
One of the most important outcomes of the visit was the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements with three leading universities – Bukhara State University, University of Asian Peoples, and Bukhara State Pedagogical University. These agreements opened wide opportunities for conducting joint scientific research, academic exchange programs, new educational projects and organization of cultural events.
The Bukhara visit not only opened a new page in Khazar University's international cooperation but also further strengthened the bridge of science, education and culture between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. These initiatives are valued as the foundation of long-term cooperation that will create new opportunities for future generations.
