On September 12, 2025, a meeting was held at Khazar University with representatives from Izmir Bakircay University.

The meeting was attended by Izmir Bakircay University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Berktaş, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Görkem Yaman, Vice-Rector of the Graduate Research Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tarkan Akderya, staff member of the International Relations and Exchange Programs Coordination Office Ayşe Nur Ekinci, Khazar University Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva, Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Management Dr. Mahammad Charkasov, Acting Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine Chichak Aliyeva, and staff members of the International Relations Department.

During the meeting, a presentation about Khazar University was delivered by a staff member of the International Relations Department. The main topic of discussion was the development of academic cooperation and relations between both universities.

At the conclusion, the parties exchanged gifts and took commemorative photographs.
