From March 14-16, 2025, an international scientific-practical conference titled "Preservation of Ancient Human Settlements: Threats and Contemporary Approaches" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The conference brought together scholars, researchers, experts from various countries, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations and media personnel. Participants initially familiarized themselves with an exhibition featuring artifacts discovered from ancient settlements throughout Azerbaijan's territory.

Associate Professor Telman Nusratoglu, Head of the History and Archaeology Department at Khazar University, participated in the conference alongside faculty members Dr. Yagub Mammadov, Orkhan Zamanov, and Ulviyya Safarova, as well as third-year History Education major Konul Ibrahimli.
