On December 19, 2024, an open seminar on "From Darkness to Light: Emotional Support and Mental Well-being" was held through the collaboration of Khazar University's Psychology Department and Psychology Club. The seminar was presented by Malak Karimova, coordinator of the university's Psychology Department and director of the Khazar Psychological Service Center. Malak Karimova emphasized the importance of emotional support in human well-being and suicide prevention. Participants were provided with detailed information about early warning signs of suicide risk, ways to maintain emotional health, and support mechanisms.
During the event, both students and participants from various segments of society shared their thoughts on the topic and actively participated in the question-and-answer session. The discussions enabled participants to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical advice that they could apply in real life. Practical exercises related to mental well-being were conducted with participants during the seminar.
At the end of the seminar, Malak Karimova noted that protecting each person's emotional well-being is important for society and emphasized the significance of developing psychological support systems.
