On October 16, 2024, an informative lesson on Mediation was held at Khazar University for third-year psychology students, organized by the Psychology Department. Mediation specialist Gasim Shaliyev was invited as a guest lecturer.

The purpose of the lecture was to explain in detail to students how the mediation process is applied in the fields of law and psychology, and what role it plays in peaceful conflict resolution. Gasim Shaliyev addressed not only the legal but also the psychological aspects of mediation, explaining what tools parties can use to better understand each other.

During the seminar, the types of mediation, its application in various situations, and particularly its importance in resolving conflicts in family, work, and social environments were widely discussed. Students asked questions about mediation techniques and the mediator's role, exchanging ideas on practical issues.

At the end of the event, department coordinator Malak Karimova announced that such educational seminars would continue, emphasizing that the field of mediation is of particular importance for students studying psychology and law.
