On September 28, 2024, the First China International Scientific Conference on Azerbaijan Studies was held, hosted and organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University. The conference aimed to stimulate the development of Azerbaijan studies in China, deepen contacts between scholars of the two countries, and create a discussion platform for young Chinese scholars.

Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli delivered a keynote speech at the conference. He presented his report titled "The Image of China in Azerbaijan and the Region. Historical Relations between Azerbaijan and China" to a wide audience. In his presentation, the speaker analyzed elements and images of Chinese culture in Azerbaijani culture and literature using a historical-comparative method, presenting scientific facts that prove the historical connection between the peoples of the two countries.

Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli also spoke at the opening ceremony of the conference, emphasizing the importance of such events and informing the audience about the practical cooperation between Khazar University and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

It should be noted that the international scientific conference, organized under the motto "Strengthen China-Azerbaijan relations with the spirit of the Silk Road!", featured presentations by nearly 50 experts and scholars representing political, economic, and humanitarian fields from Azerbaijan and China, discussing the literature, culture, economy, and politics of our country. The initiator and organizer of the conference - Dr. Agshin Aliyev, Head of the Azerbaijani Language Department at the Faculty of Asia, Beijing Foreign Studies University, also serves as the director of the China Studies Center at Khazar University.
