On February 8, 2024, the head of Türkiye's Marmara Foundation, Akkan Suver, the Secretary General of the Foundation, Sezgin Bilic, and the rector of Istanbul Galata University, Ozgur Cengel, visited Khazar University.

The guests were welcomed by the founder of Khazar University, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector of the University Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova and Director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbeyli, and discussions ensued on various topics of mutual interest. Akkan Suver presented Hamlet Isakhanli, Irada Khalilova and Alovsat Amirbeyli with a recently published book.

Ozgur Cengel provided detailed insights into Galata University and its academic specialties, extending an invitation to the Khazar University administration to visit their university.
