SOCAR and Khazar University Sign Cooperation Agreement

On October 23, 2023, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Khazar University formalized their partnership by signing a Cooperation Agreement. The signing event took place at SOCAR’s Head Office, where attendees had the opportunity to view exhibitions commemorating the centennial of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the achievements of the Azerbaijani oil industry.

Arzu Javadova, Vice President of SOCAR, welcomed attendees and underscored the importance of the newly signed agreement. She voiced her confidence in the potential of this partnership to enhance engineering education and pique student interest in the oil and gas sector.

Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, expressed her appreciation to SOCAR’s administration for hosting the event. She spoke of the nation's rich oil industry heritage and reiterated the university's commitment to fostering stronger ties between academia and industry. Khalilova further highlighted the pivotal steps being taken towards deepening collaboration with SOCAR.
