On September 5, 2023, a meeting was held with the representatives of Islam Malang University of Indonesia at Khazar University.

The meeting was attended by the rector of Islamic Malang University Prof. Dr. Masyuki Bakri, vice-rectors Prof. Dr.Badat Muwakhid and Prof. Dr.Istirochah Pujiwati Efendi, head of International Relations Department Prof. Dr.Imam Wahyudi Karimullah, as well as secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Azerbaijan Wanda Widya and Khazar University founder, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, rector of the University Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, vice-rector for Academic Affairs Mahammad Nuriyev, vice-rector for International Relations Vlad Alex Vernygora, director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbeyli, dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Elza Samadova, dean of the School of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Science and Engineering Fakhranda Efendiyeva, deputy dean for Scientific Affairs of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology Gunel Bahaddinova, employees of the International Relations Office Fatima Valiyeva, Arzu Badalova and Turan Alizade.

During the meeting, the establishment of cooperation between Islamic Malang University and Khazar University was discussed and an agreement was signed.

At the end of the meeting, gifts were exchanged.

Note that the Islam University of Malang was founded by public figures and Islamic scholars who wished to establish a large and prestigious university.
