On April 26, 2023, an international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education on "Modern problems of mathematics and mechanics".

Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of ANAS, Misir Mardanov, Director General of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, as well as several foreign guests spoke at the opening meeting of the conference. The contributions of Heydar Aliyev to the science and education of Azerbaijan and the reforms implemented for the development of science were discussed in the speeches.

Actual problems of mathematics were discussed at the International Conference, and the expansion of scientific ties between mathematicians from different countries of the world participating in the event was supported.
