On July 6, 2022, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Khazar University was held.
The meeting was opened by the rector of the university, associate professor Irada Khalilova, who brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the members of the scientific council. It was reported that in the 2021-2022 academic year, students studying at the bachelor's and master's level of the university participated in many extracurricular competitions and achieved success. Those students were invited to the council to be awarded. The students were presented to the council members with information about their achievements: Sanubar Babayeva, Bahruz Shabili, AnarBandiyev, Fariz Pirmatov, Nurane Shabili, Tamerlan Abdullayev, Tugay Abdullazade, Zeynal Mardanli (School of Science and Engineering), Shujaat Shahidli, Fuad Gulliyev (School of Economics and Management), Narmin Abbasli, Ismayil Adigozalov (School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences). They were awarded with a certificate by the founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli and rector Irada Khalilova.
Then, the chairman informed about the retirement of professor Fuat Rasulov, who worked at the university for many years, and he was presented with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the university for his efficient work.
After the rector gave information about the third issue on the agenda - the jubilee of Dilbar Zeynalova, head of the Department of Languages and Literatures, an award was presented to Dilbar Zeynalova.
In the official part of the meeting, the Dean of the School of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, the Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Fakhranda Alimardanova, the Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Elsa Samadova, the Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology Saida Sharifova and the Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business Ingilab Ahmadov presented detailed information about the graduating undergraduate and graduate students of the university. Discussions were held on their grades, qualifications etc.
Then the members of the council were informed about the thesis topics and scientific supervisors of the master's students of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology. The issue regarding the approval of the topics and scientific supervisors of theses and dissertations of doctoral students of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology and the Graduate School of Economics and Business was also brought to the attention of the members of the scientific council by the deans of the Schools, and opinions on the topics were heard.
Positive decisions were made on the issues on the agenda of the scientific council.
