On June 16, 2022, Nastassia Kalasouskaya, a student of the Department of English Language and Literature at Khazar University majoring in Linguistics, and Aynur Mammadova, and Leyla Hajiyeva students majoring in Translation defended their master's dissertations entitled “Cross-Generic Dimension of the Production of Phonological Paraphasias and Neologisms by People with Aphasia”, “Methods of conveyance of special difficulties of artistic expression in Nizami Ganjavi’s Leyli and Majnun while translating them into English”, “Similes in Novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde and the Adequacy of their Translation into Azerbaijan” accordingly.

Milana Abbasova, the coordinator of the English Language and Literature Department, and faculty members of the department took part in the defence. In accordance with the rules, questions and answers question-and-answer session was held after the speeches of the applicants. In the end, the assessment was made, and the defence ended.
