A series of events are underway at Khazar University to perpetuate the memory of Naila khanum Isayeva, the prominent educator, educational organizer, founder and head of “Dunya” School.
On May 27, 2022, Naila khanum Cultural Center was opened at the university. The event was attended by the administrative and staff members of “Dunya” School and Khazar University, as well as guests.
Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-Rector for Management and Student Affairs of the University, spoke about the work done and measures to be taken to perpetuate the memory of Naila khanum Isayeva. He noted that a few years ago, the initiator of the establishment of a cultural center at the university was Naila khanum, and the center was established under her leadership and participation. Therefore, it is reasonable that the center will bear her name from now on.
In her speech, Afag Karimova, the designer of the reconstructed Naila khanum Cultural Center, director of the University's Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts, and the carpet artist, gave general information about the center's design.
Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the center.
Afag Karimova informed the participants about the photo stands, exhibits and personal belongings of Naila khanum, which fully reflected her activities, and emphasized that the author of her bust was the lecturer of the university, sculptor Kamran Asadov.
On the eve of the 75th anniversary of Naila khanum Isayeva, the participants left the center impressed by the view of the center.
