On January 24, 2022, the educational portal azedu.az addressed an enquiry “Our country has formed an education system based on international standards. But what experience of other countries can Azerbaijan adopt today?” to the experts on the occasion of the International Education Day.
The founder of Khazar University, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor, Academician Hamlet Isaxanli, responded to the enquiry and said:
“At present, Azerbaijan cannot master the education system of any country. Because there are many different teaching methods in the world. Each country's system is different. Among them, the education systems of America, China and Japan are very developed. Our country has created its own system of secondary education. It would not be right to take anything from anyone here. The Bologna system is applied in universities. This means that European terms, credit systems and different approaches are used in our country. The methods and terminology currently used from a technical point of view are close to the European system.
Each country creates its own basic educational base. In this case, it takes different concepts and terms from other countries. Europe currently uses the Bologna system. Azerbaijan joined the Bologna system in 2005. The experience of different European countries is used here."
