On November 12, 2021, the first presentation of the Nailakhanim Scholarship, established by the Nailakhanim Foundation, took place in the Marble Hall of Khazar University. The ceremony was attended by Khazar University's founder, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor, Academician Hamlet Isaxanli, the university administration and staff, Dunya School administration and staff, and scientists and cultural figures.
The ceremony began with a screen chronicle of Nailakhanim Isayeva's life history. The participants got acquainted with the wide and multifaceted activity of the prominent pedagogue.
The event continued with the accompaniment of the Khazar University Chamber Orchestra (artistic director is the head of the Music and Art Department, pianist, honored teacher Zulfiya Sadigova). Nailakhanim Isayeva's favorite music "Adajio" by 18th century Italian composer Tomazo Albinoni was performed.
The host of the event, Arzu Omarova, the teacher at Dunya School, emphasised Khazar University administration's decision to pass on the brilliant image of Nailakhanim Isayeva known to her contemporaries and her invaluable services to future generations.
Excerpt from the film "Pearl Flower" shot in the studio of "Dunya" school in 2017, small fragments of songs composed by Nailakhanim Isayeva and performed by Flora Karimova, Brilliant Dadashova, Manana, Aygun Beylar, Ilgar Muradov, Farid Aliyev, "Crystal" group and "Dunya" children's choir, video miniatures “If only” made by People's Artist Alim Gasimov and "Dunya" school studio, "I am happy" prepared by "Dunya" school studio were demonstrated.
"Elegy" (conducted by the author), dedicated to the memory of Nailakhanim by People's Artist, composer Sardar Farajov and "Naila - elegy or symphony plaque" sent by the famous composer Javanshir Guliyev from Cyprus were performed by the chamber orchestra.
Speaking at the ceremony, People's Artist Flora Karimova sang the song "Loneliness" with lyrics by Hamlet Isaxanli and music by Nailakhanim Iayeva. Honored artist Nuriya Huseynova shared her memories of Nailakhanim Isayeva and sang a song.
Then there was a presentation of Nailakhanim's scholarship. The scholarship was presented to Bibi Raihan Hamidi, an Afghan doctoral student in organization and management of enterprises, by member of Khazar University's Board of Directors and Trustees - Aygun Gardiner, and Saida Sharifova, Dean of the University's Graduate School of Science, Arts, and Technology. Doctoral student Bibi Raihan Hamidi thanked Khazar University for awarding this scholarship.
It should be noted that the Nailakhanim Scholarship, established by the Nailakhanim Foundation, is a fully funded scholarship program for female candidates wishing to study for a master's or doctoral degree.
