Professor Hamlet Isaxanli (Isayev) was elected a full (foreign) member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.

Hamlet Isaxanli was born in Georgia, in the village of Kosali, Gardabani region.

He finished the high school with a gold medal for highest achievement and he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State University with honours.

He studied for a PhD at the Institute of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences and Lomonosov Moscow State University, then defended his second dissertation at the Steklov Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences.

During the Soviet era, he was invited to countries such as Canada, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom, gave lectures on Spectral Theory of Operators and Multi- parameter Spectral Operators, participated in international conferences.

The name of the only mathematician from Azerbaijan - Hamlet Isayev - is engraved in the "Gelfand branch" of the "Luzin Tree" (Drevo Luzina) representing the Russian-Soviet school of mathematics.

Hamlet Isaxanli founded the first private university in Azerbaijan, Khazar University, in 1990-1991, co-founded Dunya School Complex affiliated with Khazar University, and founded the Eurasian Academy with five prominent scientists and artists from the United States, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

Hamlet Isaxanli is known for his extensive creative activity. Research in the humanities and social sciences plays an important role in his work.

His works on Mathematics and Mathematical Physics were written by the name Hamlet Isayev, Hamlet Isaxanli is his penname that he uses as a poet and in his publications in the fields of humanities and social sciences.

He is the author of numerous articles and books on the history of science and culture, language and literature, lexicography and translation, the history of philosophy and the philosophy of history, the history and philosophy of education.

Hamlet Isaxanli is widely known as a poet, writer and libretto author, Azerbaijani and Russian composers have written popular songs, ballets and musical performances based on his works. In “The Polymath” (Waqas Ahmed), published by London Wiley Publishing House, Hamlet Isaxanli is included in as one of the world's polymaths (very creative carriers of encyclopedic knowledge).

Hamlet Isaxanli wrote his works in Russian, English, Azerbaijani and Turkish, his articles and books were translated into different languages and published in different countries.

The Georgian Academy of Sciences studied Hamlet Isaxanli's work, made sure that he had achieved great success in three fields - mathematics, history of science and culture, and language and literature and upon his own agreement Hamlet Isaxanli was elected a full (foreign) member of the Academy in Mathematics.

President of the Academy Giorgi Kvesitadze congratulated Hamlet Isaxanli on receiving the title of Academician and on his election to the Georgian Academy of Sciences, which is home to such famous Georgian mathematicians as Muskhelishvili and Vekua.
