On July 15, 2021, a meeting was held at Khazar University's Buzovna Conference and Leisure Center on strategic development issues at Khazar University. The meeting was attended by Khazar University management and staff.

The meeting was opened by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, who greeted the participants and spoke about the current issues. Aygun Gardiner, a member of the Board of Directors and Trustees, spoke on “Brand Guidelines,” and Ayten Isayeva, Financial and Accounting Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, spoke on Khazar University's Marketing, Finance, and Accounting Strategy.

Then, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Mahammad Nuriyev spoke about the vacancies currently available at the university. Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Arts, and Technology, Associate Professor Saida Sharifova, spoke about Khazar University's research issues and the involvement of master's and doctoral students in research.

Rector of the University, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, spoke about the work done in regard to the dual degree programs and the development of Khazar University's journals. Vlad Vernygora, director of the University's Institute for Asian, Pacific and African Studies, made suggestions on how to link journals to international platforms.

At the meeting, the university administration recommended the establishment of appropriate working groups to address the issues ahead and make the right decisions based on broader discussions, wished the staff a good rest and success in the new academic year.
