On July 3, 2021, Khazar University's Department of Fine Arts and Design hosted an exhibition-review exam at the end of the spring semester, and the presentation and defense of a diploma project of students graduating in design.
The event was attended by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Khanlar Ahmadov, chairman of the Diploma Project Evaluation Commission, People's Artist Afag Karimova, Anar Asadov, Shahin Malikzade, Faraj Rahmanov, and Honored Artist Rafael Asadov.
First, Shamkhal Ahmadiyazadeh and Aydan Jamal, who graduated with a degree in design, presented their diploma projects at the event. Chairman of the commission Khanlar Ahmadov noted the urgency of the topics of both projects and the level of professionalism. Afag Karimova spoke about the successful use of modern structures based on national traditions in the dissertations. Designers Shahin Malikzadeh and Anar Asadov, who were the students’ teachers, said they had grown up to be good specialists.
The exhibition featured works by first- and fourth-year students. During the review, the painting, sculpture and design works of the first and second year students were met with interest. The logos "Adventure" of second-year students Javid Aliyev, Amiraslan Aliyev and Bahram Seyidov grabed attention. The work of third-year students Ms. Rahimova, Leyla Samadova, Amina Isayeva and Fidan Babayeva was highly appreciated.
Professor Hamlet Isakhanli asked questions to the students defending their diplomas and participating in the exhibition about their work, made recommendations, and noted the successful work of the teaching staff.
