On May 26, 2021, Khazar university held a preliminary discussion of doctoral dissertation on “Reflection of historical and artistic reality in the prose of Aziza Jafarzadeh” by doctoral student of Department of Languages and Literatures Ayna Babazadeh for a doctorate in philology.
Opening the meeting, the head of the department, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova greeted the participants joined in person and online due to the current pandemic situation, noting that the dissertation and its abstract fully meet the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission under President of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Secretary of the Scientific Council Dr. Reyhan Madatova provided the participants with information about the doctoral student. Giving detailed information about the main content, scientific provisions and results of the dissertation, doctoral student Ayna Babazadeh spoke about her articles published in national periodicals recommended by the HAC, foreign journals with impact factor and reference index, as well as her speeches at national and international conferences.
During the preliminary discussion of the dissertation, two doctors of sciences and a doctor of philosophy made positive comments on the dissertation. Scientific adviser of the doctoral student, the head of the Department of Azerbaijan-Asian literary relations of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, doctor of philological sciences, professor Badirkhan Ahmadov, writer Aziza Jafarzade’s son Turan Ibrahimov and other participants expressed some remarks and recommendations on dissertation.
In the end, taking into account comments and recommendations the members of the council unanimously voted for the admission of doctoral student Ayna Babazadeh to the next stage for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Philology in the field of Azerbaijani literature 5716.01 with dissertation “Reflection of historical and artistic reality in the prose of Aziza Jafarzadeh”.
