The article entitled “Ideological-Aesthetic, Theoretical Foundations of Civic Lyrics” by Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, a lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature at Khazar University, was published in the quarterly “Вченı записки” journal of Tavriya National University named after V.I. Vernadsky, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2020, № 4, pp 85-90).

Article reviews civic lyrics based on the theoretical basis of world, European and Russian literature, especially Azerbaijani poetry context and states that the citizenship manifests itself more in the movement of romanticism. It is noted that civic lyrics, which are an integral part of romanticism, are usually mixed with a journalistic spirit. However, it must have smoothness and figurativeness, which are considered to be the main components of art. Otherwise, it cannot become a poetic example.
