On March 11, 2020, the news portal zerkalo.az scrutinized the views of experts and heads of higher education institutions regarding the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the interruption of study due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Professor of Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, noted that the interruption in education was the right decision in terms of students’ health. Professor further indicated that distant education was implemented at Khazar University in this regard, however noted that in general, it is not quite possible to obtain quality education through this form of education.
