On February 25, 2020, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, met with Bayar Dugarsuren, a representative of the Higher Education Policy Department of the Ministry of Education of Mongolia. Bayar Dugarsuren sent an official letter to the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, indicating his suggestions on cooperation and admission of Mongolian students to Azerbaijani Higher Institutions, as well as expressing particular interest in Khazar University, which is a leader among universities according to the ranking.

During the meeting, which was also attended by Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of the University, and Raziya Isayeva, Development Director, the guest was informed about Khazar University and discussions were held concerning the admission of students from Mongolia.
