On November 24, 2019, “Build Your Future!” Youth Support Project held its subsequent event at Khazar University’s Neftchiler Campus.

The event was opened by Turan Jafarova, project coordinator, who spoke about the partnership between “Build Your Future!” and Khazar University. Lamiya Namazova, Director of Admission Office at Khazar University, delivered a presentation about the University and answered participants’ questions. Five alumni of the “Build Your Future!” Project who currently study at Khazar University also delivered short speeches about their experience.

The event was dedicated to responsibility, one of the six values of the project. Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered his speech addressing the youth about the important aspects of the topic. He also talked about the founding of Khazar University and each person’s responsibility for the development of their motherland.

Other speakers of the event delivered presentations focusing on the various aspects of the issue. Speakers included Gunel Farajova from EY Azerbaijan, Khaqani Safarov, an HR specialist, Huseyn Hasanov, a teacher and psychologist at Azerbaijan European Lyceum, and Elnur Eyvazov, a famous lawyer who, despite his visual impairment graduated from the world’s top three universities, including the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford (United Kingdom) and Columbia University (USA).

Established in 2014, “Build Your Future!” Youth Support Project is carried out within the corporate social responsibility policies of several local and international companies. Approximately 300 young people from Baku’s 6 districts (Binaqadi, Khatai, Khazar, Garadagh, Sabunchu, and Surakhani) and 5 regions (Agdash, Hajiqabul, Kurdemir, Ujar and Yevlakh) participate in the project’s current, 6^th year.
