On November 18, 2019, “Azadliq Radio” published an article in its website on the politicization of some figures of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, referring to some independent analysts.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, member of the Statistical Council at the State Statistical Committee, the Founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, has categorically denied this allegation. Professor said:

“There is no political pressure on the organization. At our first meeting, the Chairman himself told us that the government vigorously requests us to make sure everything to be indicated as it is, i.e. accurate. Because statistics are an important indicator, we need to know where we are in order to build our development program. If I knew that the case is different, I would never become a member of the organization”.
