Development Director of Khazar University, Raziya Isayeva participated in HERE Seminar: Students in Higher Education Policy Reform. The Seminar was devoted to the Student Engagement, and major discussions were around the Student as partners in higher education governance and quality assurance. Key speakers of the seminar were Fernando Galan, European Students’ Union (ESU); Sean O'Reilly, Irish Survey of Student Engagement Project; Jyri Lahdesmaa, Board Member, National Union of University Students in Finland; Eve Lewis, Director of SPARQS; Mayaan Hagage, Isreali Students’ Union.

The seminar has involved all the participants from 27 different countries into the discussions by breaking down them by the topics. The first break-out was on Enabling Students in University Governance, the second one Students in Quality Assurance, and the third one was on Students in National Reform Process. All these discussions were first based on the thoughts and ideas on the topics and then participants finalized by it by recommendations what might be done to improve the situation at national, institutional and individual levels.

The seminar was hosted by NARXOZ University, Almaty, Kazakhstan on April 5-6, 2017.  The seminar ended with many new ideas of cooperation, training and development programs within different regions.
