On December 10, 2016, the semifinal round of the “Ancient Eastern History, Geography, Culture and Literature Competition” was held at Khazar University within the Science Party project that won the 8th Grant Competition of the Youth Foundation of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic. Official partners of the project are Khazar University, Youth Foundation of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, Archeology and Ethnography Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Egypt Cultural Center and Azerbaijan Archeologists’ Society.

Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media; Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of the Department of History and Archeology; Orkhan Zamanov, instructor of the same department; and other instructors. Teams in the competition were from Khazar University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Girls’ University, and the Shamakhi Branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.

The final round will take place on December 23 in the Marble Hall on Khazar University’s Neftchilar Campus (41 Mehseti St).
