On November 8, 2016, a group of employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports gave a presentation with preliminary information about the World Robot Olympiad to be held at Khazar University. Dr. Nuru Safarov, Head of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Radio Engineering, opened the meeting and spoke about its significance. Then the Ministry representatives made speeches noting that the objective of the Olympiad is to support the development of young people in the field of ICT, help them discover their creative potential and teach them to find robotic solutions to problems they encounter.
