On October 25-26, 2016, Business Peace Forum 2016 took place in Dubai, UAE at Sharjah American University with the goal of creating a management system to create peace and avoid conflict. Official guests at the event included representatives of higher education institutions carrying out research in this field, academics, and representatives of international organizations and NGOs. The mission of the event was to create opportunities for innovative partnership towards peace as well as to build and strengthen a peaceful business society. The conference also included panel sessions about socioeconomic reform, political change, agreement and justice, sensitivity to conflict and more.

Khayala Mammadova, staff member of Khazar University, represented Azerbaijan at the event. She also held discussions about academic development, scholarly journals, and academic databases important to science and business with Dr. Bjorn Kjervele, leader of Sharjah American University, as well as Dr. Yaprak Anadol, administrator of Dubai University.
