Khazar University faculty members submitted a grant proposal to the 2015 call for proposals (EİF-KETPL-2015-1(25)) for “Projects on Complex Scientific Research Programs” by the Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their grant was selected for funding.
The grant proposal is entitled “Theoretical and Experimental Investigations of Wettability Alteration and its Potential Impact on Hydrocarbon Recovery.” It will be implemented over 24 months. The grant coordinator is Associate Professor Gasham Zeynalov, Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering. The project team also includes Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice President of Khazar University for Academic Affairs; Dr. Nuru Safarov, Head of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Radio Engineering; and Izat Shahsanov, instructor and PhD student of the Department of Petroleum Engineering. Other project partners include the Oil and Gas Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University; Baku Higher Oil School; and Azerbaijan Society of Petroleum Engineers.
