Dunya Pupils Participate in V International “Trash to Art” Exhibition at Gala State Historical and Ethnographic Preserve

On October 12, 2016, pupils from Khazar University’s affiliate Dunya School participated in the V International “Trash to Art” Exhibition at Gala State Historical and Ethnographic Preserve.

The exhibition displayed 25 works of art from 8 countries that had been made from household garbage and objects that were no longer needed. The main objective of the exhibition was to teach people the importance of keeping the environment clean and break them of the habit of putting unnecessary things into the trash can without thinking.

The “Trash to Art” Exhibition has been carried out since 2010 as part of the “Clean Gala” pilot project initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and “Clean City” Joint Stock Company. A “Trash to Art” museum has also been operating in Gala since 2015.
