From September 26-29, 2016, the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition Society of Petroleum Engineers was held in Dubai, UAE. Faculty members of the Khazar University Department of Petroleum Engineering participated in the conference as representatives of SPE’s Azerbaijan branch including Associate Professor Gasham Zeynalov, Head of the Department and Director of eiLink Research and Development Center, as well as Shariyar Alkhasli, Izat Shahsenov and Elshan Rzayev, instructors of the Department. The conference included technical lectures and exhibits by leading petroleum companies and cutting-edge universities about new technologies for exploitation and development of oil and gas fields. During the conference and exhibition, Professor Zeynalov met with representatives from New Mexico Technical Institute, the University of Aberdeen, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, and several companies to discuss partnership opportunities.
