On September 2, 2016, Dr. Elza Semedli, Dean of the School of Education, held a meeting for faculty members. Participants in the meeting included Assistant Deans Zarifa Aliyeva and Aygun Verdiyeva; Dr. Irada Khalilova, Head of the Biology Department; Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of the Department of History and Archeology; Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, Chair of the Department of Geography and the Environment; Dr. Nuru Safarov, Head of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Radio Engineering; and Ali Huseynli, Chair of the Department of Mathematics.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss changes in the new academic year. Topics covered included programs for the new academic year, admissions, course load and syllabi, trainings to increase instructors’ professional levels, and ethical behavior standards for instructors. Plans were also made for a meeting and orientation for incoming freshmen.

Then academic plans were discussed and Dr. Semedli asked the departments to prepare their final course plans.
