On May 11-12, 2016, a delegation from Sahand University of Technology was invited by Khazar University to Azerbaijan to discuss cooperation between the two universities.

Within the framework of the visit, a series of meetings was held at Khazar University and its affiliate, Dunya School. The guests met with Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, as well as with Dr. Hassan Niknafs, President of Khazar University. Members of the delegation also met with Iranian students currently studying at Khazar University.

A presentation about Sahand University of Technology was delivered for the university management, deans of the schools, and heads of academic and administrative departments.

Members of the delegation included Dr. Rasoul Azari Khosroshahi, Rector; Dr. Kazem Ghanbari, Director of Public and International Relations; Dr. Syamak Hossein Nedjad, Vice-Rector in Research; and Dr. Seyed Alireza Tabatabaeinezhad, Director of Institute of Gas and Oil.
