Start Date: October 15, 2012
Duration: 36 months
Brief information and main objectives:
The aim of the project is to transfer skills and competences in the interdisciplinary field of migration studies in the European Neighborhood Partnership Instrument East region, specifically in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The specific objectives are:
The Regional Online Platform on Migration, maintained and updated by the MCCs, is another important project output. It will support master students by providing relevant literature and data for research purposes and the setup of an e-Learning component. It will be widely used to disseminate the curriculum, publications, and statistical data produced by the MCCs, making all materials accessible to the wider public (migration officials, journalists, researchers, public institutions, civil society).
International Organization for Migration (IOM) Azerbaijan is participating in the project, primarily contributing to the development and implementation of the master’s programs in migration studies and MCCs.
The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan will support the accreditation procedures in Azerbaijan and participate in capacity building activities for curriculum development in line with Bologna standards with support of EU partners.
