On April 16, 2016, a group of Khazar University instructors and students visited School no. 118 of Hovsan village. The main objective of the visit was to make connections between the university and the school. First the visitors from Khazar viewed an exhibition of artwork at the school. Then members of the delegation made speeches to the school children emphasizing the benefits of studying at Khazar. Delegation members who spoke included instructors Rovshan Abbasov, Gasham Zeynalov, Yegana Balamedova, and Narmin Fataliyeva as well as student Ahmad Usama.

Rahila Hajiyeva, an experienced teacher at the school, thanked the delegation for their visit and called Khazar University the best university in Azerbaijan.
