On December 26, an assembly was held in the concert hall of Khazar University’s affiliate Dunya School in memory of reputable playwright Jafar Jabbarli.

Participants at the ceremony included Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees; Academic Isa Habibbeyli, Vice President of ANAS and Director of the Nizami Literature Institute; Asif Rustamli, Meritorious Journalist; family members of the late playwright, including his daughter Gulara Jabbarli, director of the Jafar Jabbarli House Museum, and his granddaughter Gamar Seyfaddingizi; representatives of the Republic’s scholarly and artistic circles; members of parliament; and media representatives.

The event began with a film about the playwright’s life. Then teachers and students presented a live dramatization of his life and works.

Speeches were made by H.Isaxanli, I.Habibbeyli, A.Rustemli and G.Seyfeddingizi. They also thanked the school for hosting this important public event.

At the end of the ceremony, well-known artists performed songs based on Jafar Jabbarli’s poetry.
