The results of the "Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026" have been announced by the prestigious international ranking organization Times Higher Education. According to the results, Khazar University has placed in the 301–400 band among 1,603 higher education institutions evaluated worldwide.
The university informed AZERTAC that this result demonstrates a significant advancement by Khazar University compared to the previous year, as the university had been placed in the 401–600 band in the same ranking in 2025.
"The ranking evaluates the contribution of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals on the basis of teaching, research, policy, governance, and community engagement. The university was assessed across 14 of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The highest result was achieved in the 'Quality Education' indicator, in which the university placed in the 101–200 band. In addition, the university ranked 22nd worldwide in the 'Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions' indicator. The advancement of Khazar University's position in the ranking confirms the further growth of its international standing and the continued success of its activities in the areas of sustainable development, quality education, responsible governance, and community service," the statement noted.
